Mounted group of four, 1939-45 Star, Africa Star with 1st Army Bar, Italy Star, 1939-1945 War Medal with MID emblem.

Also: enclosure slip marked matching the six awards above. War office approval  letter  for the MID , dated 18/6/1946, confirming LG entry for MID dated 23/5/46. The recipient name and address on the letter is Major E. Pereira, MB, R.A.M.C., 8 Canbury, Kingston on Thames, Surrey.

Plus two more medals that came with these, being a Defence Medal fitted with a wearing pin and another 1939-45 War medal (unmounted) – recipient unknown

Bottom of a medal issue box  – unmarked – box lid is missing. All contained in a ‘Moss Bros’ box dated 17/9/58 and addressed to ‘E. Pereira, Oak Lodge Cottage, Ham Common, Richmond, Surrey.

Dr. Eric Pereira was the pre war and post war  Medical Officer of Heath for Richmond. The online newspaper archives contain numerous references to Pereira. A  family group photo is viewable on the  Ancestry website.
