Medal correctly impressed: T3-027933 Dvr. W. Drakeford. A.S.C.
Some service papers have survived for Walter Drakeford and are digitised online; a Cattleman born Melbourne, Australia. Enlisted 15/11/1914, arriving at Liverpool from Buenos Aires, Argentina, the previous day. His papers show punished for insubordination during active service. Also received a scalp wound and a lacerated penis(!), during his service, both accidents. Discharged 1919 and appears to have been eligible for repatriation overseas (back to Argentina?)
