Medals correctly impressed- ‘DM2-137691 Pte T. Shores A.S.C.’

Thomas Shores, born Hull, resided Doncaster. Served Mechanical Transport Army Service Corps, attached 138th Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps. Died of wounds, 5th August 1917 aged 35. Buried Poperinghe New Military Cemetery Belgium.

Son of Henry and Emily Shores of Hull, husband of Mary Elizabeth Shores of 20, Bennetthorpe, Doncaster.

Some papers have survived for Shores which record him initially as been killed in action 5/8/17, then died of wounds on the same day.
